Description
This gemstone necklace features pretty pastel Opalite beads, in different sizes, and a matching teardrop pendant. It hangs from an ornate circle shaped Tibetan silver connector. This Opalite is a very pale blue colour with an iridescent sheen. It would look stunning against any contrasting fabric, especially black, dark blue or green.
There are only one of these lovely Opalite necklaces available!
Approx 18″ / 45cm long ‘Princess’ necklace on a Silver chain. This style is designed to sit on the collarbone, which means it will fall just below most necklines, and the pendant then hangs lower.
Sterling silver findings and toggle clasp.
Note: the necklace in the images features a Tibetan silver connector, however, this can be swapped for a 925 Sterling silver connector (pictured below) in a lovely sleek knot design. Make your selection using the dropdown box.
Birthstone: Opalite – Cancer
Collection: Joan of Arc
BeeJewelled’s necklace ranges are named after those influential and important women we have looked up to throughout history.
Born around 1412, Jeanne d’Arc is considered a heroine of France for her role during the Lancastrian phase of the Hundred Years’ War. With no military training, Joan convinced the embattled crown prince Charles of Valois to allow her to lead a French army to the besieged city of Orléans. Her army achieved a momentous victory. After seeing the prince crowned King Charles VII, Joan was captured by Anglo-Burgundian forces. She was tried for witchcraft and heresy, found guilty, and burned at the stake in 1431. She was just 19.
By the time she was officially canonized in 1920, the Maid of Orléans (as she was known) had long been considered one of history’s greatest saints, and an enduring symbol of French unity and nationalism. Not bad for the peasant daughter of a tenant farmer!
I am not afraid. I was born to do this.
All metal findings, chains, clasps and earring hooks are the finest 925 Sterling silver, sourced from the UK. Unless stated otherwise.
Due to the nature of handmade, your jewellery may be slightly different to that in the images, however the essential design will be the same.
The materials I use are entirely natural, with differing shapes, sizes and colours. Some may have small natural inclusions or be more segmented with patches of differing hues, meaning that each is beautifully unique.
