Description

Do you like a little dark mystery in your life?  The stones on both of these necklaces are Onyx, which is black and shiny.  One necklace has randomly shaped chips of Onyx, and the other has round beads of the gemstone.  The coordinating black pendant is made from Jade and lightly faceted.  The pendants hang from sweet Tibetan silver connectors of different shapes.  It will look so pretty against a pale top, or just bare skin!  This necklace is available in two different styles, and I only have one each available:

Chips – this necklace is on a single strand silver tone chain with a flower connector and a magnetic clasp

Beads – this necklace is on a double strand silver tone chain with a swirl connector and a toggle clasp

Both approx 18″ / 45cm long.

Silver tone findings.

Birthstone: Jade – Pisces or Aries; Onyx – Cancer, Capricorn, Leo or Sagittarius

Good for: strengthening friendship, attracting wealth, success and luck, protection, overcoming fears

CollectionJoan of Arc

BeeJewelled’s necklace ranges are named after those influential and important women we have looked up to throughout history.

Born around 1412, Jeanne d’Arc is considered a heroine of France for her role during the Lancastrian phase of the Hundred Years’ War.  With no military training, Joan convinced the embattled crown prince Charles of Valois to allow her to lead a French army to the besieged city of Orléans.  Her army achieved a momentous victory.  After seeing the prince crowned King Charles VII, Joan was captured by Anglo-Burgundian forces.  She was tried for witchcraft and heresy, found guilty, and burned at the stake in 1431.  She was just 19.

By the time she was officially canonized in 1920, the Maid of Orléans (as she was known) had long been considered one of history’s greatest saints, and an enduring symbol of French unity and nationalism.  Not bad for the peasant daughter of a tenant farmer!

I am not afraid.  I was born to do this.
