This Circe bracelet is a simple string of ethically sourced freshwater pearls paired with specially selected gemstones. The Lapis Lazuli beads are a gorgeous rich blue, subtly flecked with gold. They bring the classic pearl bracelet bang up to date. Perfect for both day or night wear, and sophisticated enough for both. Handcrafted beauty.

Note: these freshwater pearls are known as rice pearls because of their shape and small size. They have beautiful ridges and lines in them, and each one is unique in shape.
Circe was a goddess of sorcery who was skilled in the magic of transmutation and illusion. Circe was renowned for her vast knowledge of potions and herbs. Through the use of these and a magic staff, she transformed her enemies, or those who offended her, into wild beasts. She lived on the mythical island of Aiaia with her nymph companions. When Odysseus came to her island she transformed his men into beasts but, with the help of the god Hermes, he overcame her and forced her to end the spell.
