Description
This necklace features beautiful snowy freshwater pearls with a natural shimmer, and the glorious gemstone of your choosing. Simply pick your favourite gem along with your choice of metal and type of clasp, and I will make your necklace for you.
Default size is approx 18″ / 45cm long.
Collection: Amelia Earhart
Note: these freshwater pearls are known as rice pearls because of their shape and small size. They have beautiful ridges and lines in them, and each one is unique in shape.
BeeJewelled’s necklace ranges are named after those influential and important women we have looked up to throughout history.
Amelia Mary Earhart was born in Kansas in 1897 and defied traditional gender roles from a young age. She played basketball, took an auto repair course, and briefly attended college. During World War 1 she served as a Red Cross nurse’s aid, taking an interest in the pilots of the Royal Flying Corps.
Earhart took her first flying lesson in January of 1921 and passed her flight test in December of that same year. She set a number of aviation records in her short career. Her first came in 1922 when she became the first woman to fly solo above 14,000 feet. She went on to become the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and the first person ever to fly solo from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland. Beyond her flying records, Amelia championed the advancement of women in aviation. Sadly she disappeared in her plane somewhere over the Pacific in July 1937, and has never been found.

The most effective way to do it, is to do it.
All metal findings, chains, clasps and earring hooks are the finest 925 Sterling silver, sourced from the UK. Unless stated otherwise.
Due to the nature of handmade, your jewellery may be slightly different to that in the images, however the essential design will be the same.
The materials I use are entirely natural, with differing shapes, sizes and colours. Some may have small natural inclusions or be more segmented with patches of differing hues, meaning that each is beautifully unique.
