Creamy white pearls with lovely lilac Amethyst.

Description

This Amelia Earhart pairs pearls with the beauty of Amethyst gems.  These are a rich purple colour with clear Quartz marbling.  The ethically sourced pearls are freshwater and a little uneven, making each completely unique.  And the pairing with gems creates such beautiful contrasts of colour!  This stunning necklace will take you easily from day to night, and it will love being worn.

Silver toggle clasp.

Approx 18″/45cm long.  This is a ‘Princess’ style necklace which is slightly longer than the choker and is designed to sit right on the collarbone.  Because of this strategic length, it will fall just below most collar lines.  Princess necklaces are very suitable for a button-up blouse, V-neck and scoop necklines. However, it is common to see this length worn with almost any outfits.

Birthstone: Amethyst – Aquarius, Pisces or Aries

Good For: alleviating depression, easing stress, soothing anxiety, natural healing

CollectionAmelia Earhart

BeeJewelled’s necklace ranges are named after those influential and important women we have looked up to throughout history.

Amelia Mary Earhart was born in Kansas in 1897 and defied traditional gender roles from a young age.  She played basketball, took an auto repair course, and briefly attended college.  During World War I she served as a Red Cross nurse’s aid, taking an interest in the pilots of the Royal Flying Corps.

Earhart took her first flying lesson in January of 1921 and passed her flight test in December of that same year.  She set a number of aviation records in her short career.  Her first came in 1922 when she became the first woman to fly solo above 14,000 feet.  She went on to become the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, and the first person ever to fly solo from Hawaii to the U.S. mainland.  Beyond her flying records, Amelia championed the advancement of women in aviation.  Sadly she disappeared in her plane somewhere over the Pacific in July 1937, and has never been found.

The most effective way to do it, is to do it.

All metal findings, chains, clasps and earring hooks are the finest 925 Sterling silver, sourced from the UK. Unless stated otherwise.

Due to the nature of handmade, your jewellery may be slightly different to that in the images, however the essential design will be the same.

The materials I use are entirely natural, with differing shapes, sizes and colours. Some may have small natural inclusions or be more segmented with patches of differing hues, meaning that each is beautifully unique.

Don’t forget that in buying from BeeJewelled not only are you getting a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery made with care and attention by hand, but you are also helping to save the bees and, in turn, our Earth! Thank you.

This jewellery is entirely made by hand and will be shipped carefully packaged in a lovely organza bag for easy storage or gifting.

If an item is out of stock but you love it, please email queen-bee@bee-jewelled.co.uk and I'll do my best to recreate it especially for you.

Love my pearls so much! I always thought they were a bit dated but with the pops of gemstone colour they are fun and very 21st century!
