Description
This necklace features large freshwater Pearls on a single bar. The pearls are ethically cultured, approx 6mm in size, and are smooth creamy white with a beautiful lustre. Single strand light and delicate 925 Sterling silver chain.
These pearls are known as Potato Pearls, and they have an off-round shape which is less symmetrical than traditional round pearls. The uneven shapes of potato pearls give them an organic quality which I adore! My pearls are carefully selected for each piece of jewellery to match in size and shape.
Sterling silver filigree clasp.
Approx 18″ / 45cm. This is a ‘Princess’ necklace, it is designed to hang on the collarbone. It’s great for both business and casual wear, transitioning between the two easily.
Birthstone: Pearl – Gemini or Cancer
Collection: Harriet Tubman
BeeJewelled’s necklace ranges are named after those influential and important women we have looked up to throughout history.
Harriet Tubman was born around 1820 in the US and became known as “the Moses of her people” for her fight against slavery. She herself was enslaved but escaped to go on and help others gain their freedom using the network of antislavery activists and safe houses known as the Underground Railroad. It is believed that she made thirteen missions to rescue approximately seventy enslaved people, family and friends.
Tubman also served as a scout, spy, guerrilla soldier, and nurse for the Union Army during the Civil War. She is considered the first African American woman to serve in the military. Without people like her, the world would be a very different place today.
Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world.
All metal findings, chains, clasps and earring hooks are the finest 925 Sterling silver, sourced from the UK. Unless stated otherwise.
Due to the nature of handmade, your jewellery may be slightly different to that in the images, however the essential design will be the same.
The materials I use are entirely natural, with differing shapes, sizes and colours. Some may have small natural inclusions or be more segmented with patches of differing hues, meaning that each is beautifully unique.
Don’t forget that in buying from BeeJewelled not only are you getting a one-of-a-kind piece of jewellery made with care and attention by hand, but you are also helping to save the bees and, in turn, our Earth! Thank you.
This jewellery is entirely made by hand and will be shipped carefully packaged in a lovely organza bag for easy storage or gifting.
