Description

This subtle piece features a central circular pendant in natural grey Agate.  It is suspended from a Silver knot in a Celtic style to give it a perfect hang.  The rest of the necklace is half single Silver chain and half Agate in an unusual grey colour.  The gems are a pretty colour, subtle yet striking against a contrasting backdrop.

Approx 20″ / 50cm long ‘Matinee’ necklace.  This style is longer than a Princess necklace, hanging below the collarbone with the pendant dropping lower.  It looks fabulous worn over a high neck dress, and would be striking against a black dress.

Sterling silver findings and toggle clasp.

Birthstone: Agate – Gemini, Virgo or Libra

Good For: providing protection, increase optimism, making space for good luck and fortune

Collection: Susan B Anthony

Note: the silver knot in the images is made from Tibetan silver.  Your necklace will be made entirely with quality 925 Sterling silver findings, so the knot will be replaced with the decorative connector pictured below.

BeeJewelled’s necklace ranges are named after those influential and important women we have looked up to throughout history.

Born in the 1820s, Susan B Anthony was a social reformer and women’s rights activist who played a pivotal role in the women’s suffrage movement.  She came from a Quaker family committed to social equality and collected anti-slavery petitions at the tender age of 17.  In 1856, she became the New York state agent for the American Anti-Slavery Society.

When she first began campaigning for women’s rights, Susan was harshly ridiculed and accused of trying to destroy the institution of marriage.  However public perception of her changed radically during her lifetime, and her 80th birthday was celebrated in the White House at the invitation of President William McKinley.  She became the first woman to be depicted on U.S. coinage when her portrait appeared on the 1979 dollar coin!  We owe her and her ilk a lot.

Men, their rights, and nothing more; women, their rights, and nothing less.

All metal findings, chains, clasps and earring hooks are the finest 925 Sterling silver, sourced from the UK. Unless stated otherwise.

Due to the nature of handmade, your jewellery may be slightly different to that in the images, however the essential design will be the same.

The materials I use are entirely natural, with differing shapes, sizes and colours. Some may have small natural inclusions or be more segmented with patches of differing hues, meaning that each is beautifully unique.
