The beginning of August saw me at my biggest event EVER at the 4 day long Countryfile Live show.
It was held at the stunning Blenheim Palace, however with 7am to 6pm days and nobody else to man the stall there was sadly no chance to go exploring!
I’m not sure what the actual statistics were but it certainly felt like the hottest few days of the year, especially in a large tent packed with shoppers and exhibitors!
BeeJewelled was probably the smallest and least experienced stall there – I was expecting to be placed with a selection of other crafters and purveyors of carefully handmade goodies, but was instead alongside £billion franchises and 20-year established jewellers. Despite being insanely busy and exhausting, I’m sorry to say it was my worst event of the year and I ended up nowhere near even covering the enormous cost of being there.
That said, it was an eye-opening experience for a newbie like me, and I met some absolutely wonderful people! Alli of Hello Lovely, who turns vintage Silver cutlery into thoughtful gifts, and Antonia of Antonia Morbey London, who produces the most gorgeous displays of artificial flowers, were my immediate neighbours and a true pleasure to spend the time with. I can honestly say my life was the better for meeting them!
